Quercetin, a potent and versatile flavonoid and phytonutrient has become more popular because of its activity to inhibit the release and manufacture of allergic and anti-inflammatory mediators including histamine. Thorne’s Quercenase also contains bromelain.  Bromelain is a protein digesting enzyme which is extracted from pineapple sap and stem.  Best known for its use in the digestion of dietary proteins, it is also popular with people who take a glucosamine supplement.

Foods rich in Quercetin include citrus fruits raspberries, apples, leafy green vegetables and beverages such as black and green tea and red wine.

  • A water soluble Quercetin plus bromelain in one capsule
  • It is made without lactulose which is used to dilute most bromelains on the market.
