Antioxidants and Flavonoids

Antioxidants (Oxidation inhibitors) are substances that may protect your cells against the affect of free radicals. The potent oxidation inhibitor  activity of flavonoids is their ability to scavenge free radicals that can damage cells, and may play a role in other diseases, underlies many of their activities in the body.  Normally free radical formation is controlled naturally, when there is a deficiency of oxidation inhibitors , damage due to these free radicals can become cumulative and debilitating.  Oxidation inhibitors  are capable of deactivating and stabilising free radicals before they attack the cells.
